Shri Rama Kant Kumar
Assistant High Commissioner

Shri Rama Kant Kumar assumed charge as the Assistant High Commissioner of India in Mombasa in August, 2024. In over last twenty-seven years of his service in the Ministry of External Affairs, he has served in various positions abroad in Indian Missions in Brussels, Thimphu, Tunis, Accra, and San Francisco. He served as Head of Chancery in Accra (2018-2019) and San Francisco (2019-2022).

During the assignments in India, he served in various Divisions like Administration, Bureau of Security, etc.

He hails from the State of Bihar and has done post-graduation in Physics. He has a keen interest in sports and likes to play Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, and Badminton. He also enjoys arts, cultural performances, music, and plays.

He is married to Mrs. Pushpanjali. They are proud parents of a daughter and a son.
